Miners Falls are one of the easier falls to access in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. From the NPS parking lot the falls are a .6 mile walk along a trail dressed with compacted road base. The trail is very meanders through a beautiful northern deciduous forest which provides a good birding opportunity. At the trail’s end there is a viewing area to the right that affords you a glimpse of the falls. The stairs leading down to the Miners Falls are well constructed and there are strategically place benches tor those who wish to sit and admire the scenery.

Directions to Miners Falls
Miners Falls is outside of the City of Munising. As you travel through Munising from either East or West on M28 you will come to the only light in town right in front of the Dog Patch. If you are coming from the east your are going to bear right onto H58. If you are coming from the west you will go straight. Proceed on H58 around Munising Bay and up the hill. You will travel past the golf course to Miners Castle Road (H13) and turn left. There is a sign for Miners Falls and Miners Castle so keep an eye out for it. You will travel approximately 3.5 miles to a sign directing you to turn right to go to Miners Falls. Half a mile up the road will be a parking lot with a vaulted toilet and picnic tables. From there it is a .6 mile stroll to the falls.
