Directions to West Bass Lake
Accessing West Bass Lake is relatively straight forward. From Gwinn you will travel approximately 7 miles east on M-35 until you reach Horseshoe Lake Road on the left. There is signage for West Bass Lake State Forest Campground. You will then turn left and continue about 4 miles to the sign for the campground. This site does require a recreational passport so bear this in mind.
West Bass Lake is known for its Rainbow Trout fishing. Often I speak with locals who night fish at this lake, but I haven’t experienced this…….yet.
